On "Samsons" passing on October 10th 2011 it came to light and purely by accident that he had sired a last foal in the rescue home -  prior to going to the home from hell, and then coming to me.

 

Its a small world indeed!  you see, Samson was in this rescue home prior to the home from hell and it just so happens its the same home that Leo and Hudson are from! With anon ( M McD)  and her grand-daughter anon (S McD).

 

You can imagine how thrilled I was to hear that he had sired a daughter very much his double. The twist in all of this, is that sweet "Maisie", a baby herself (rising 3) was "raped" for want of a better word and gave birth to a foal on June 6th 2014. Both "Maisie" and her foal named "Dora", have since been recently rehomed ( February 8th 2015) and are but a stones throw away from my own boys.

 

The history and closeness and the special bond with the rescuers granny bequeathing Hudson to us made the whole scenario a poignant one. Despite "Maisie" and "Dora" now being re-homed and a part of us erased from her life, having not seen "Dora" in the flesh, we do at least have photos of this final legacy to look back on.
