                Hudsons Story

Hudson came into my life along with Leo on November 27th 2011 After our sad farewell to Samson on October 10th 2011

Bred by reputable breeders  Stewart & Heather Wilson of the Mingulay Stud, he was bought as a colt from the Thainstone sales in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire  by (ANON B)  (S McD) who also obtained purchase to Leo via (ANON A) (LF)

Hudson was then kept as part of a herd at Lour Road in Forfar, owned by (M McD) of Brechin although his passport remained in the name of the breeders.  Many a visit was then  had to Lour building friendship bonds not only with the ponies but with (M McD)  herself, her son (ANON C) (G McD), and her Grand-daughter (ANON B)  (S McD) ...see Leos story

Hudson was transported from Forfar to Glencadam along with his herd companion Leo by my good friends Susan & Derek and with a written contract of "loan" in place that both parties were happy with - a condition of the loan agreement being that if anything happened to (M McD)  (God Forbid), Hudson was to remain with me and not to be passed on, sold, loaned out or re-homed for as long as I was fit and able to keep him. This was a promise I said I would dutifully keep but not one I expected to happen so soon after!

It was with much sadness that we were informed that (M McD) had passed away suddenly on May 13th 2012  surrounded by her lovely remaining ponies at Lour whilst feeding them hay on the ground - a short  7 months after Hudson arriving with me and that the family as per her requests had now bequeathed her much loved pony boy to me.

Hudson is a lovely boy and Im eternally grateful that Maggie trusted me with him....My promise to her I have kept and Hudsons future secured if anything happens to myself.
